Quality is of paramount importance to us, because it's what matters most to our customers. Specialising, as we do, in the most demanding type of injection mouldings, those destined for final decorative finishing, we are constantly vigilant in our efforts to maintain the highest standards. From its inception, Bourne Technical Mouldings has placed the supply of top quality products at the heart of its philosophy. In fact, one of the first activities of the new company was to draw up the Quality Policy Document - an extract of which is given below. All members of staff are actively encouraged to act upon the policy, participate in training to help them comply with it and to make suggestions to constantly improve quality standards. Bourne Technical Mouldings Limited, Quality Policy The main quality objective of Bourne Technical Mouldings Limited is to achieve accreditation to the ISO/TS 16949 Standard, whereby a Quality Management System is under development, including full procedures and documentation, in accordance with the requirements of the Standard. All members of staff are expected to read and fully understand this Quality Policy and make a commitment to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Training will be given to all members of staff, to enable them to comply with the procedures and documentation, with encouragement to make suggestions for improvement. Progress will be measured by the hourly returns and scrap rates of individual plastic components and assemblies. Scrap will be analysed prior to delivery to the customer and the number of customer returns after delivery. Results will be communicated to the staff on a regular basis and reviewed by the management for system weakness, with changes introduced for corrective and preventative actions. Management will review on an annual basis the Quality Management System, quality objectives and the measures in achieving them, as well as the quality Policy and the ability of all staff to meet its requirements.
